A head set is where you put up a certain amount of Money and the players agree on what the set is to, ours was eight and you also are locked in on playing until one of the players reaches the amount of games set by the players, if one player quits he forfeits the money and that's why they call it a head set, this guy Danny barnes is low class pool hustler and a first class nit. I hope this explains what a Head set is

FYI....The mods are going to move this thread as it should have been in the action or main section...but to my point...

It's not a "head" set. It's an "ahead" set. Like you have to get 10 games ahead to win. "a head set" is what you wear when you're broadcasting. I just wanted to clear up what people were picking on in your other thread.

I do agree with you that the player who doesn't go the distance forfeits his winnings unless both parties decide to renegotiate the terms of the set for something that can be completed within a more reasonable period of time. I don't think being 8 ahead in a 10 ahead set entitles you to quit and walk with the cash. After all it was a 10 ahead set that was agreed to and if it was a tournament for comparison, being on the hill doesn't entitle you to decide you're the winner before you win that last game.
