Who is going to Vegas during APA Nationals Teams events for the teams or minis or just for fun?

Good Luck to you and your teammates! What is your team name?
I'm going for the Masters. Our area has a Masters league and part of
the first place package was a trip to Vegas for the event. Should be fun!
I had been playing each year with some buddies from where I used to live. However in all of the APAs wisdom they made some rule stating that all teammates have to play and be qualified under one league operator.
IMO that was one poorly thought out rule.
My 8ball team came up a little short losing in the semi-finals. It was close with both guys on the hill and the set 2-2. My guy hooked the other one and he kicked at his last ball, hit it and crapped it in. Bad way to lose but I guess it happens.
What made it worse was that we knew who the finals was going to be against and I feel we beat that team 8 out of 10 times.
Last 4 years -- Regionals
Lost in finals
won and went to Vegas
Lost Semifinal
Lost semifinal
I would love to win Regionals again but am not going to sandbag to do it. All the above teams were rated correctly and this years was well overrated and I mean well overrated. I was proud that we got as far as we did.

I don't even know what our team captain put as our team name. We will be out for teams, playing in the minis, and doing some site seeing. One of my teammates has never been to Vegas. In fact, he has not been on a vacation in over 10 years. The rest of us have been before whether it was for teams, doubles, masters, minis or just the whole Vegas experience. We have a lot planned for him before the team event starts. I know are more than likely renting a car and going to Red Rock Canyon. If you have never been there before, it is really amazing. We also plan on taking him to Lake Mead and doing some other stuff away from the Vegas Strip.

Not this time. My lovely assistant from the BCA show was too popular! We had too many sales and couldn't keep up with the demand. So...I had to let her go.

Good name
That is a good name. The APA approved it? They are so picky with their names, and what they allow. One year, I played scotch doubles with my friend and we were "Birth Control" which I was surprise they allowed it. In fact, we almost overslept one of our 8 am matches and got put on our grace period. They were paging us and said..."Birth Control you have 15 minutes until you forfeit." We ended up losing a very tight match and took 17th out of 256 teams. Had we won that one, we would have played the guys who won it 2 years in a row.
Have you seen the list of names that the APA will not allow?

My (APA 8-ball) team is going to Vegas, but I'm still uncertain if I'm making the trip. 
This was my first year in APA, and I played Thurs and Sun nights for the same place (Dave's Goodtime Billiards in West Peoria IL), but all different teammates. Thurs night we didn't do much in the tourney (trying to making it to Vegas) although I went 3-0. The Sun team walked through the winners bracket (double elim.), and didn't need a 2nd Championship match (went undefeated). I played all 6 matches, and went 5-1. So, 8-1 during my first ever qualifying tourneys....not bad. Yeah, they are not happy that I may not make the trip.......
