I'd have to go with Kim Davenport too. Can't believe he didn't have a major. Stroke like a wild bronco tho.I don't think BCA Hall of Famer Kim Davenport ever won the U.S. Open or a World title.
Dan Louie is one of the nicest players I've ever met.Dan and I played almost even in the early seventies, he wouldn't give me weight but I wanted to play him because, he was such a nice person to do business with in a pool room.... he was not the norm.
I knew I probably wouldn't make any money/and he wasn't stealing, so I played by the game, after about 1 1/2 I think I was stuck two games and quit. Great person, not many Dan Louies in pool rooms.
can think of two that noone has heard of except by those who keep it close to the vest. Very good at flying under radar.I'm going with C.J.Wiley (unless he won a major event I am not aware of)
I like this list, pretty accurate. Conclusion:
The players with highest finishes in majors who have not won a major are:
Alex Kazakis (2nd W8B, 2nd W10B, 3rd W9B) and Kuo Po Cheng (2x runner up+ 1x semifinalist at W9B) followed by are Oi, Raga, He.

Did Hubbard ever win a major?? Larry??I'd have to go with Kim Davenport too. Can't believe he didn't have a major. Stroke like a wild bronco tho.
A player I loved to watch play that never won anything big was Larry Nevel. He had a top tier stroke, just didn't have the full game to match it yet before his untimely passing. One of the best strokes ever imo.
