Oh yeah... and maybe you got lucky and your cues where not ripped off from your trunk. Gotta love Phila is right.
Funny you mention this.
At Boulevard Billiards, a long time ago before it went the way of the dodo bird, there used to be this guy that worked there.
I forget if he officially worked there or not, but he was an older guy who would go around and collect the house cues and put them back on the rack. Clean up the trash, etc etc. Don't know if he got paid or not, or would be cleaning up for some free food or something.
Anyway
The issue was, he was kind of slow. Slightly mentally disabled.
Figured the owners were doing a good thing by giving the guy some work.
So he'd be going around gathering house cues or collecting trash and cleaning up the place, emptying ashtrays and such.
But when he would come across a set of CAR KEYS at some table he was cleaning, he would innocently pick them up, look at them all strange, and just start hitting buttons.
I remember one time looking out the window and seeing like 5 cars in the parking lot with their trunks cracked or popped open because of him holding down buttons and not knowing what the heck they were for.
Can't even begin to think of how many cars he unlocked or panic alarms that he set off.
