Who is the best pool playing Celebrity

I haven't seen Mark play recently.....

Mark is a decent shortstop, probably the best "celebrity" player currently active. Johnny "World" Hennigan, who is a poker celebrity was a better player, probably better even than Brandon. John was playing high dollar 9-Ball at age 19 and 20 with good players. AND WINNING! Mark is at least one speed below Brandon, who is better than a shortstop in my book.

Joe Rogan could be a decent shortstop himself, if he wasn't so damn busy with all this other stuff. He has a nice stance and stroke, just no practice time. Amazing how success has ruined many a pool career.

nevermind, i haven't seen brandon play enough to judge, but Mark was a pretty capable player in the nineties. Jay you probably knew him then too, so I'll defer to your jusdgement.

Wow - that's pretty good for a guy who was totally an entertainer. Jerry was a very good Broadway singer and performer (yeah, he could really sing), and a great actor when given the opportunity (see Prince of the City to see what he could do in a serious role).

Gleason territory, I imagine. Or maybe better. SJM, you personally saw him play?

As for Danny Aiello - a former Greyhound bus driver union boss who became a really strong character actor - I hope what you say is true.

Two of my favorites.

I played against Jerry Orbach and can vouch that he was a fine player, and he loved pool the way Jackie Gleason did. I've heard Gleason was a solid "B" player, no more than that. I'd rate Orbach as either a strong "B" or possibly "B+" speed. As for Aiello, I'm only sharing what I heard during the 2000 BCA 14.1 Championships, but the word nine years ago was that he shot quite a bit stronger than Jerry.
