Who is the cue expert?

Absolutely agree, doc. In any cue thread, there will be some detractors, because, it's what they do. I had the same experience with a historical cue thread, very positive, but some had their panties in a twist, for whatever reason they do on the internet.

It's a great thread, actually invites posters to identify people with knowledge on cues. It can't be a bad thing. And here's hoping the thread goes on.

All the best,
WW

It's been fun so far. :)

And I got outed on the Mizerak cues. LOL!

Skeletons in the closet. :frown: :grin-square:

Huebler cues

Well most of the Huebler info can be found on my
Huebler cue fan page
I have listed almost every known brochure that was printed
I also can id his cues that were not in brochures
most can be identified by length, logo and materials used in the cue.
so if anyone has questions my contact info is on the page.

Mark Griffin?

I think Mark Griffin has as good an idea as any one. He has had a pretty good cue collection and been involved in almost every avenue of the billiard world for almost all of his adult life.

i cant name most cues or could care less but was friends or known well, at least a half dozen or more, of the most famous makers ever.

holding a cue that you bought used made for someone else, is never the same as holding one the maker made especially for you.
and handed it to you directly.

I agree w you, the only cue I own I wouldn’t sell was built by a respected builder who doesn’t generally take requests. I asked for one minor detail and he complied, it will never be for sale, but there are cues I’d love to own by those have passed. Stroud and Gus are the first that come to mind.
