Who is this guy

I recall asking Pat Fleming this very question in the chat during one of the YouTube premieres and he said it’s Ed Culhane. I gotta imagine Stu is a very close second.
Might be, very close.

Eddie's usually there as a competitor at events covered by Accu-stats and becomes an ardent fan once eliminated. I don't tend to see him at other events, though. In 2022, I don't recall seeing him at any of the UK Open in London, the Mosconi Cup in Las Vegas, or the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama.

Eddie is, no doubt, a major presence on the tournament trail. Good guy, too, and it's always nice to catch up with him.

Hey Stu, having been seen at so many matches, which, in your opinion, is the best one to watch?
That's a toughie, but if we're talking Derby City 9-ball, one of my all-time favorites is Chris Melling vs John Morra in the 2018 finals.

Another super-classic at Derby City is Roberto Gomez vs Fedor Gorst in the 2018 Bigfoot 10-ball finals, and so is the 2019 Bigfoot final of JL Chang vs Josh Filler.

Half the time I am watching pool videos I'm just wondering were SJM is sitting and how often he'll be on camera. AccuStats does a best shots video and a few other compilations, they should do one of just Stu sitting in the stands at various events LOL.

It does become a habit to spot Stu when I open a video. If he isn't on the rail it is because the view from the rail is bad and he has a better seat! Generally sitting with some of the best people too!

As Stu is aware, I never feel like I have the skinny on an event until I read the Stu report. Straight facts and if he does have to say something negative he does it in the gentlest manner possible. If I knew where he could represent pool I would recommend him for pool's goodwill ambassador.

Guilty as charged. Yup, that was the 2013 CSI US Open 1-pocket. Pretty sure Orcullo won that event, which was produced by Mark Griffin and his staff.
During covid, a friend and I would talk on the phone as we both watched the same match. We started seeing THAT GUY again and again. Eventually we started calling THAT GUY, Waldo. Hey, there's waldo again. We were figuring he was in the pool business, pool hall owner, cue stick maker, something. Now we have a name for THAT GUY.

I’ve met and talked to Stu at Derby on at least one occasion. But like everyone else, I see him what seems like all the time in these matches. Super nice guy and I’ve enjoyed some of his follow up posts after the tournament is over. I’ll try to say hello again, Stu and see if you remember me.

Out of curiosity, do you ever watch any action matches or just tournament matches?
