Hello AZer's,

I thought that I'd create a new thread for something that could be a little more appropriate in the cue review's section, yet it is fine here either imo as this is the place where we all see these extremely beautiful and staggering cues.

During the months that I've spent here on AZ I have seen many stunning collections and even more magnificent cues by themselves.

This time I would like to ask what is it that YOU love these cues for and why do you pay that extra for these marvellous pieces.

This time I would like to hear about your playing cues not the ones that you have collected so far - I believe that is a different story, isn't it?

Thank you for your time and answers,

one word "Gus". he was light years ahead of the rest. His work has stood the test of time and is still the benchmark of most cue makers, and will be. There is some tough competition out there and someday perhaps there will be better cues-but that will never over shadow what Gus did-ever. I'm luckty to own a few of his cues and I know them well, I had a good teacher some guy claiming to be named "Barry". ;)

I agree with Eric. Gus stands alone as one of the best cuemakers of all time.
I`m guessing but I bet Gus passed that same cuemaking desire onto Barry.

I agree.

Gus had the best eye for deisgn, and his cues hit better than anybody else's.
