Who is?

I didnt mean to imply it was you who did, if you took it that way, I apologize. I see this place as a site full of wisdom and knowledge, and when someone new (like me) comes on here, those who have the wisdom and knowledge have been more than willing to share, and in turn, they have improved my game and knowledge. I guess I just expect the elders here to be more of a mentor, not a critic.

I agree, but just think it is a bit tacky for a numero uno post. But of course I'm a bit biased. I just think this is not the place for people to blatantly knock somebody.

I agree with that too, but im not sure if that was his intent. I could be wrong, maybe he did need some red thrown at him, but Im willing to give the benefit of the doubt that he is just an ignorant dude that doesnt know any better.

True dat! I'm pretty sure he knew his intentions though. Still waiting to hear back from him.

Hell, I hardly ever get more than 50 miles from home. I know who Billy Palmer is...one very top level pool player. (edit) I mean, if I know who he is, you'd think people in the midwest would. Looks like they're learning, doesn't it? ;)

Seriously doubt this is Billy Palmer. Just can't see him roaming around 2,000 miles from home trying to make his daily nut playing bangers in the armpit of the pool nation. Maybe somebody from SF can chime in and report a recent Billy Palmer sighting on the West Coast and put the kibosh on that rumor.

This, as another poster suggested, is almost certainly a different player who actually is currently roaming the midwest, prowling the bars and poolrooms looking for low-hanging fruit, generally using an alias wherever he goes. This guy plays well, but is living in his car and wearing the same clothes every day, just to give you an idea of the kind of living he's earning with that gig.

Real name Raymond Williams, used to play with a Palmer cue. The name Billy Ray Palmer is his road name derived from his real name and the cue.

Last I heard he was on the road with Keyser Soze.

No, that's old news, man. He and Keyser Soze aren't even talking anymore- bad blood. They were gambling on the wetness of water and Keyser won that Palmer cue. Old Billy Ray Williams normally wouldn't make that dumb of a bet but when he got hit upside the head by that moving truck last year I think it might have damaged his brain some...

Anyway, to make a long story short, Ray's playing with an electric blue cue with no points, and he's going by the name of Blu Ray. His best game is definitely tiddlywinks, so watch out for him there. He's out looking for Travis Trotter's dad trying to bust him, so he really could turn up just about anywhere.
