On a whim I decided to jump at these balls. I figured for 50 bucks Id give them a shot. Now I hope they are really old and valuable. Can anyone help me out with some info?

Heres what I know.

The numbers seem to be inlayed into the ball. The balls have two rings where most only have one. The playing balls have some chips in them and the previus owner said the interior doesnt look like ivory.

Let me know.

I have no technical info regarding these, but I would probably buy them bc they are old and look cool LOL. Theres my expert insight

I've seen balls like these. The balls are lighter than than the regulation weight of 6 oz.
The cue ball in the set shown looks to be made of a heavier composition and won't draw well off these balls.
The opposite will be true if you try drawing any of these balls back off the cue ball.

I was wondering about this. I had a set like the mentioned above..They were noticeably lighter. I used the cue ball from that set,and hit some regular balls with it...Crazy spin

id these balls

i am the owner of these balls. i told the origintor of this thread everything about them that i knew. i have them for sale for $50 shipped. its a great buy. they are unique. however, they are not for playing anymore because im afraid the inlays would begin to break down to much. only a couple of the balls actually have some small chips where the numeral is inlaid. the marks on the balls are from contact with other balls. they are lighter than todays balls. they are not silk screened. i am guessing the composition is an older phenolic resin but i dont know for sure. i can say they are not clay, ivory, or bakelite. ive had them over 20 years. gerald 901 412 9618
