Even Bill Stroud had is name attached to a very exclusive short run of Predator cues. I'm thinking there were only 5 or 10 made and whether he actually built the handle or just did the inlay work, I'm not sure.WilleeCue said:Samsara made some, Pechauer made some, Mezz cues made some, I think most are made offshore. They sure are getting expensive for a production cue.
I'm pretty sure that Jacoby has made some also in addition to the names already mentioned.BHW said:I knew this at one time....but who makes the butts for Predator cues? How many different companies have made them over the years?
BHW said:I knew they were "production" cue butts....but forgot who had made them over the years. I think the prices are way out of line myself. It's cheaper to buy the shafts for your own cue.

I think they were somewhat pressured into offering complete cues and at first never intended to do that.
They were into offering a high tech shaft as an upgrade to an existing cue.
Much like OB1 does now.
How long will it be before OB1 starts selling complete cues?
Sharing the profit with the butt maker is one possible reason the Predator cue price is so high.
If they cant make a reasonable profit they can not stay in business.
