Who makes the best custom cue

"Who makes the best custom cue"

They all make the best cue. Just a matter of what you prefer.

The real question these days is; Who will actually deliver it once it's payed for?
That is the question.

i was going to post something similar but this will do.

Just send the 2k to deanoc, He will send you a nice cue and probably a case too. You will be sure to get all the chicks at your local pool hall with your new classy combo. (j/k on the chicks, deanoc will hook you up though)

The question obviously suggests that the cue-maker is still actively making cues and isn't retired nor deceased.

An interesting question would be to price tier the question.......the best custom under $1k, $2k, $3k, etc.
You should expect that a $12,000 cue from Barry Szamboti cue will play better than a $1500 cue from
a less famous name cue-maker. yet, I know that to be not necessarily true and so narrowing & pinning
down the field of cue-makers for the best custom seems impossible unless you use staircase price distinctions.

The best custom.........I'd say it was either Joel Hercek or Barry Szamboti.

Best Custom Cue?

Do you mean shooting cue or one of those over-the-top Monster cues?
For Shooting I would say.

1. Tim Padgett (but I heard he no longer makes cue)
2. Kent Davis makes awesome looking cues with a great hit!

The best cues I have had the pleasure of playing with are made by Joey Bautista (JoeyInCali) and Cory Barnhart.

Paul Dayton is currently making one for me, and I suspect I will be adding his name to that list.

Just my opinion. Southwest and Bluegrass cues and Steve Lomax and not in all that order.. Rich aka the skunk.

Hmmm...the op is all red rep:rolleyes:

Not sure why I have such bad rep when I am barely ever on here. The reason I posted this was to get an idea of what I should be looking at for my first nice custom cue. I had planned on selling my other cues to get one nice cue. My friend had told me about southwest cues. I wasn't planning on spending the kind of money he put into his, but wanted to see what else was out there. Sorry I wasn't more specific in the first post.

For the people that did post what they thought, thanks for the info. I have checked out most of those.

If an admin would like to delete this thread that is ok with me.

Owned every single cue mentioned here! African blackwood boar cues are finest playing cues in world & rarest boar builds of any. Not many!!! Lol i keep getting bigger builds!
