Who makes the x-breaker stick?

Me and my instructor were down at Parlor billiards with Dan Louie and he was letting us try out the x-breaker. I normally use a sledgehammer and I couldn't believe how well this stick hit.

Me and my instructor both put $200 down a piece for a couple of them with leather wraps. We are anxiously waiting for them. Dan wrote me out a receipt and he is completing the transaction for us.

Is the gentleman who makes them on this site?

Would love to know how soon we will get those babies.

I'll have a sledgehammer for sale soon too.

Richard posts here as x breaker.

Real class act.

Richard will try to get them to you as soon as possible. He is the genius behind the X-Breaker line...including a new jump cue. Last I heard, he was having them built by the good folks at Samsara...that is where mine was built. Quality build is assured. Richard receives them before shipment, so that he may apply the ferrules and super secret recipe tips, and do a final inspection.

He completely aims to please...and I doubt very seriously you will be disappointed...he just will not let that happen.

$200 was just the down payment to get them started. It cost extra for the leather grip so I think it was $455 total a piece.

And once you receive it, you'll feel it was worth every penny! Word to the wise tho', do not take your eyes off of it!....it'll be gone in a flash!!

I'm so excited to get the stick. When I broke with Dan's it felt like magic. Like I was shooting a gun with a silencer at the rack.

I even considered not gambling for a month until I get it.

Hey

I just did a review of their new X-Jumper a couple weeks ago that I got for a friend of mine. It has the new X2 tip on it that is 79,000 psi and has leather in it. (phenolic tips are 37,000 and 39,000 psi) Best jumper I ever tried.
It lifts better than phenolic tips (I have J&J right now), but the cue ball control when jumping was the nicest surprise. I am buying one just as soon as I can (1-2 months).

Hi,
Thank you very much for your interest in the X Breaker.

I am building the X Breaker myself now. The X Breaker that you tried from Dan Louie was built by me.
It features an improved taper which Dan Louie and Ralf Souquet have given me a lot of their valuable input on.

This is the second X Breaker that Dan Louie has, the first one he liked a lot, but was not completely satisfied with. He said it was not forgiving enough.

I therefore built him another X Breaker with a lizard wrap, and let him try it in Dr. Cue, which he told me he was very happy with. We have spent quite a bit of time talking about the balance and the taper that he likes, and his input is very valuable in helping me to continue improving the X Breaker, which I greatly appreciate.

I have been informed of your order, and I am working on them now. Thank you so much.

For those of you who do not know, Dan Louie's picture showing him breaking with his leg up in the air and the shaft bent on the table is the only picture displayed in Robert Bryne's Billiard Instruction Book.;)

Once again, thank you for choosing the X Breaker.
Richard

When you see Dan, please send him my regards, and please also tell your instructor thank you for his choosing of the X Breaker.

I may come down to the uncle Jack tournament, it depends on work load and how much I can get done. I was told there is going to be on sometimes in May. Will you be there?

Regards,
Richard

Richard, want to answer this question?

Fart sniffer and others-

Please don't take this as an attack as it is not meant to be. But I have to say that in all honesty, this is none of our business. Richard had a partnership with Dave and Jim at Samsara and for whatever reason, it dossolved. But remember, the X-Breaker was widely acknowledged as a remarkable jump/break cue prior to the partnership and the new model is receiving even more acclaim. What matters is that Richard created a solid product and it is still being improved upon every day.

Just my two cents.

It was an innocent question with an innocent answer, if he chooses to answer that it is up to him. I was just curious, that's all. I just find it funny that he can answer a question from days ago yet chooses to ignore this one.

Samsara cue was a great company. We have decided to work with them to increase our output in order to cope with the overwhelming demand we had last year before the Valley Forge show. Without them, I would not have been able to deal with that demand, for that, I am very grateful. I have also learn a lot from Jim during our partnership. I will always wish Samsara the very best and lots of success.

I think some people somehow are confused that X Breaker has always been made by Samsara cues. I have only signed a one year contract with Samsara. We started our discussion of the partnership during last year's Valley Forge show (2006). Please note that the X Breaker made its US debut in the US Open and its debut to pro players in the World Pool Championship in 2005--about a year before I first met Jim of Samsara.

X Breaker now has more demand than last year, there are also several knock offs copies floating around. I think this is a great compliment, and is an indication that I am doing something right.

I am not interested in mass production, it has always been my dream to offer the best jump/break cue to those few who are knowledgable, and educated enough to appreciate the finer things in life.

I am very proud to say that all X Breakers that leave my shop now are of the highest exacting standards. The new X breakers will be the best in terms of workmanship, construction, breaking power, and control.

Thank you.

Thank you Richard, very nice history lesson of the X-breaker and very informative. Nice to know that the new cues will be of higher standard than the ones made by Samsara, nothing ever substitutes working on your own cues.

Your statement seems to presume that the X-Breaker cues produced by Samsara were somehow inferior. They were not, in any way, or Richard would not have sold them...imo. Richard's explaination of a one-year agreement is all the explaination needed. Samsara has always, and continues to produce some of the highest quality, best playing, and visually striking cues available anywhere!

I guarantee both me and my instructor will be there with the balance remaining on the cues if you think you will have the cues ready then. I will pm my phone number to you if you would like.
