Ok.., here is the story as I know it. If you know more please share.
You are a top regional pro in the Northeast and there is a tournament in Portland, ME.
Ok..,here is the field..Earl,Efren,CJ,Grady,Cisero,Liscotti and Dallas West among others. You beat Grady and then are down to Earl by over 70 PTS to 150 and comeback to win only to then lose to Efren. Yes ...you read that right....
Not only that but when you see it you will see him toy with Earl, get inside his head (as scary as that is) and stay calm cool & collected....

I never saw him in action but I have heard plenty of first hand stories. I believe I had heard about this tournament. Guys said he was the master at running a rack or 2 then just safe the shit out of a guy. He could just beat guys down with a high run around 20 balls:D

A friend of mine that grew up with Nick in Maryland made a post a year or so ago about nick . Many good comments and stories you might. Want to check it out . I. Met Nick when he was about 15 or 16 when he came to Greensboro NC to see my friend who had moved from Maryland to Gso . He pretty much took care of all comers while he was there.

I just bumped an old thread you started a year ago about Nick it has some really good stuff . Thought some that didnt see it the first time might enjoy

I was on a co-gen project in Bellingham, MA and would frequent a room in nearby Franklin, MA. That is where I met Nick. Quite the quiet gentleman is was. I was also fortunate enough to be able to practice with him on occasion.

Nick would show with toothbrush in hand. It was a sad day when he left us, that's for sure!

I vaguely remember hearing @ Nick the Indian somewhere. Might it have been in Helfert's Pool Wars book? Sorry to hear he's left us. :(

Efren has been inside Earl's head since he was callin himself another name. But I believe they are amiable these days.

Nick was simply amazing to watch and was able to be smart with his money and hold onto it. The early to mid 90's was a great time to watch pool in New England. Nick, McGonagle, Liscotti, Shorty and the NY crew of Robles, Zugland, Fernandez and a young Ginky but I Nick was by far my favorite to watch.

Cj ??

Seeing as CJ won this tournament...was wondering if he could share some stories....CJ please, you out there?
