When I left Saturday night there were four players left on the winners side. Ernesto & Oscar Dominguez, Steve Linglebach (sp) from Portland, and Mike from Emeryville. The losers side still had Dan Louie, Stan Toraneau(sp) Simon Pickering, Scott Frost and maybe a couple more.

Nice $4,000 added 9 ball tournament with a $60 entry fee and quite a showing from the Northwest with several players coming down. Disapointing overall turnout with around 40 players. Last year they turned away 15 or more players after filling up at 64. ALL the $$ goes back to the players in all of Delbert's tournaments.

Geez....only a 40 player turnout with $4k added! I heard there were alot of heavy hitters in that tournament...it would have been fun to play in it. Someone post the results! I will probably call my (our) buddy in Vegas for the results. He knows more of what's going on in the bay area than me. lol

Congrats!

I intended to go, but had some things I just could not get away from.

Hopefully, someone will submit the full list of payouts to AZB or in this thread. I have a $$ tally for the year to post once I have these results - as this is the last major tournament on the west side for the year.

So sad

But it is to be expected as for some reason there is not much of advertising. I never get a flyer and never have from them for some reason. I found out about it on the day of. Little late to make plans.
I knew it was coming up soon but completley forgot. That is why flyers are so important. I don't even think it was put on az.
Guess you didn't make it to final day , hey. Just sayin. lol

Family Billiards

Congrats Oscar! You absolutely earned the win. I was fortunate enough to catch your early match against Scott Frost and you played superbly. Was a pleasure to watch.
Oh, and your Prewitt cue is INSANE!! By far the most incredible Prewitt I've ever seen.

And a note to Scott Frost to say thanks for coming out this way. It was definitely a treat getting to have some big guns slugging it out here in our area. Scott was very easy going and cracking jokes with the crowd all night Saturday. I have to say all the pros that were there were really outstanding representatives of the sport.

Don't make me come down to Fast Eddie's in Capitola and play you some 9 ball.

I will be down for a few days to do some surf fishing and play some one pocket as soon as the weather picks up. I know Diego is chompin at the bit to tangle again.

Great guy to play except he won't roll over and die like he's supposed to when he is stuck.

By the way, I did cash, which is a miracle for me playing 9 ball.

Considering the added money, I guess I'm a little surprised more players didn't give it a shot. I know not one person from my pool hall knew the tourney was even happening though...zero promotion of tourneys around here these days. I'm less than an hour away.

Doubt anyone would go anyway. Lamb killers on a budget, even the good players prefer the easy money playing weak players than driving to Sac or the City to play against real players.

Congrats to Oscar.
