I guess 3 people who do not regret the IPT existence would be Mike Sigel, Efren Reyes, and Thorsten Hohmann, since they won the most $$$ from it, although I can't recall who won the most.......

How much you "won" according to the press release is a lot different thing that how much you actually get paid.

In answering this, I must note that a) the foreign withholding tax subject is omitted entirely from consideration and b) the assumption will be made that players that played in IPT Reno have claimed 33% of their prize money.

Efren's earnings from the IPT were:

IPT King of the Hill: $200,000, all collected
IPT Las Vegas: $65,000, all collected
IPT Reno: $500,000, $165,000 collected.

Hence, Efren has been paid $430,000, which is more than any other IPT player.

hooray for Efren

Good, I'm glad Efren collected the most money.....but in answer to the previous poster, I'm pretty sure Sigel and Hohmann got the money they won too.....

Umm...that is why he mentioned the three 1st place finishers that WERE paid. Mike Sigel was paid $150,000 for the first event. Efren was paid $200,000 for winning King of the Hill. Hohmann was paid $350,000 for winning the North American open.

we, all in the pool world won the most.......to see something like this could actually work.but unfortunately here are few things that didnt help...
1)hey, you have to give the guy credit for even trying.
2)you cant blame everything on k.t.......you set up this huge tournament and the stands are empty.where is the support from the people.none
3)set up qualifiers and hardly anyone shows(10 people per city is not a success)sorry but thats the truth.there should have been so much more turning out.
4)t.v. rights and broadcasting....come on this is pool! pool is dying in north america, lets face it.people dont support it period.
5)pros dont support anything in pool ,they just want to show up and play and put no effort into it.think about it.
6)if someone tried this in europe it would work as pool is more recognized and promoted over there than here.
7)why is everyone coming down on sigel?if you were a washed up pool player and someone came up to and offered you that kind of money, who wouldnt take it?

hey,k.t. tried something that we thought was amazing and unfortunately it didnt work.im sure he had all intentions of it working, but as soon as it didnt we all look for his credibilty, and cut him down like a scum.you people should be ashamed with yourselfs.
if this worked you would be sucking his you know what but now that it isnt you find nothing but to tear the guy apart.no support anywhere at all.period.!!!!!!!!!
i dont know k.t. from adam and im sure none of you do either.he could have had all good intentions for this to work ,but he is a businessman and it wasnt working so now he is trying to get out.WHY shouldnt he?he doesnt owe the players anything(I KNOW ,I KNOW .THE MONEY)the players dont do anything to support him period.
i finally realized pool is dead when i saw the crowds ,what a joke, empty.
the only crowd i saw was at the finals.and do you think half of those people paid to get in .nope.
you cant make something work if you dont have any support at all,so im sorry thats the way it is.
im sure you will all disagree with me but the truth hurts doesnt it!

and yes i love pool as much as anyone on here.i paid my lousy membership fee and bought product from the i.p.t. AND would have entered a qualifier to get my ass kicked BUT until the players start to control thier own destiny this WILL happen again and again.
