I wanted to start this thread where people can post their favorite/best shots from past Mosconi Cup matches.

Here's one of Melling making an excellent positional shot. Very creative!
Starts at about 5 minute mark. First shot after the initial break.

I believe this to have been the greatest positional shot I've ever seen, and often reference it on the forum.

I am curious to see how the USA performs but not really "excited" because i think the result is likely a Europe victory without giving up more then 7 matches to their 11.

Despite Team Europe avoiding some of their elite players of old anyone notice how many of the guys from Team Europe just played in the World Pool Masters? Kind of sick...

Interested to see Bergman on the big stage and see how he holds up, i think he might be one of those guys who comes out firing on all cylinders in his first Mosconi kind of like Hatch did in his first year.

Let's hope so!

Me, too. Bergman is the second best twenty something player in America, and this may be his time to stand up and be counted.

I'd also like to see Shane, who is just 9-9 in Mosconi singles, break out for a five point or better effort this year. He's never been in better form.

The myth that Shane needs the balls racked a certain way and with certain rules has been dispelled in 2014. Derby City 9-ball, the US Open and the World Pool Masters had three different sets of break rules, but Shane won all three.

I predict that Bergman plays fantastic. I do not think the pressure will hurt him; I think it will bring out the best in his game.

Who is on the European team? I am thinking team USA will be run over once again and not that I am backing the Europeans but just an opinion.

Window is WIDE! Open that USA gets to 7.
