Who's Going To Apa Nationals

Any ideas for times? My thinking is that matches are at 1:00 and 6:00, so a 5:00 meeting would let people come after their 1:00 match or before their 6:00 match. I'm a big fan of Peppermill, but I'm open to other ideas (but not Splash bar).

Doesn't matter to me, just looking forward to meeting some people from the board.

hey hustler, i heard you guys are playing in the Masters, maybe we'll meet you guys at some point. we got the NY spot :smile:
 
I design the team logos and I produce the finished product. You can select from a few hundred styles/brands/colors/weight/material of shirts. So, polos, demin, tees, hoodies are all feasible. I should be able to make a set of 8 shirts in 5-8 days, depending on stocking inventory of the shirts and how long it takes us to finalize your design after review/adjustments. I have some t-shirts in stock so for a quick design, I could make em in 1 day.

We will be there in August for mini's and the masters. How is the new baby doing? He must be getting big by now. You know we will stop by your booth to say hello.

8 ball team :the usual suspects
9 ball team :go ahead and hate us (probably will get changed, not my team name choice)
9 ball doubles :homefries at high noon (inside joke, I mistakenly showed up at noon for an eleven AM start time in a tournament and was forfeited, awesome)
 
I'll be there shooting 8ball teams -- probably some of the minimania events too. If there's an AZB gathering, I will definitely try to make it.
 
i'll be there for the 4th year in the row. this time we won 9 ball again my team name is The Rackin Rebels, and we're from NC.. if i'm not in the team room will be in the mini's room as always.. if anyone see's me then give a yell or if any of you know me from anywhere give a pm.. otherwise i'll be in the mini room buying up tourney's first thing in the morning..

and to all the apa haters.. i'm sorry you don't like it and i can understand.. but i love any and all kinds of pool because i love pool, and it's great to see the rules give the weaker players a chance and i love nothing more then the look on a 2's face when they bring the team home a winning shot.. there is just something magic about that.

I totally agree. We had a 3 beat a 6 in eight ball to put us in the finals. He was down 4-0 and somehow won 2 games in a row. He was so happy, he had a smile on his face for literally a week.

and to add to this type of story, my wife won the hill-hill match to get us to Vegas. After the final 8 dropped she jumped so high her knees nearly hit her chin. It was a GREAT moment.
 
Hey, finally got validated to post. My team will be there in 8 ball from Shooters in Olathe, KS. Hope to run into some az'ers while there.

Fortunatly for us, the finals were not as exciting. Our poor hearts could have exploded if they were.

Finals went as planned, 3 beat a 4, 7 beat a 7, throw off a 3 on a 6, 5 beat a 3.

Oh trust me man, we thought we had it the same way.
I went first and won and then our 4 won so we were up two nothing. Sacrificed a 3 against their best player but then our 7 got smoked by a 5 :eek:
Needless to say my wife had a couple of beers during the match to take the edge off.
 
APA Vegas Bound Also

Will be there for 8 ball teams. Name of team Players.
We also had extremely great play from our 3's and 4's.
We compete in city for spots to Vegas.
We only had to play a 7 once in our 5 matches to win the trip.
My 4 won the trip for us and when I told how much the last 8 ball he sunk was worth the look on his face was as they say PRICELESS!!!!!!!:grin: :grin:
 
Very jealous of you all

I went for 8 ball teams in 05 and it was the most fun I have ever had playing pool. There was 650+ teams of 5-8 people from all over the nation. Some advice I wish I had known, when it appears there is no more mini-mania tourneys to play don't fret. Just hang out near the booth during tourneys you want to play and people drop out left and right for one reason or another and you can buy their spot. Otherwise you will be deterred by the fact that when you get there almost all of the tourneys are already booked. Best of luck to all of ya out there, HAVE A BLAST
