Will be there for 8 ball teams. Name of team Players.
We also had extremely great play from our 3's and 4's.
We compete in city for spots to Vegas.
We only had to play a 7 once in our 5 matches to win the trip.
My 4 won the trip for us and when I told how much the last 8 ball he sunk was worth the look on his face was as they say PRICELESS!!!!!!!

Dans team took the trip away from my team. I have bragging rites though. I beat their 7 5-1 or 2 to bring the match to rubber and his low rated player smoked our low rated player.

Vegas will be awsome. This is my 13th trip to the APA nationals and 13 is my lucky number.

I will be there for 9-ball. If anyone would like to play some cheap sets, let me know. I am a 7 in 9-ball.

Rossaroni, I will be there for 9-ball as well - team "Cloud Nine". SL7 here too and would enjoy playing some. This is my first trip to Vegas so i have no idea what to expect. I'm just looking forward to playing a lot of pool and meeting people with the same interest in pool as i do. Should be fun.

I see that the match numbers are up but how do you know when you play? You said you play first.

My match number is 393.

If i do a search for another 393 and there isn't one there does that mean we have a bye the first round?

It could mean that you are just waiting on your opponent to win their first match.

That means they can win their first and lose their second but still be in the tournament based on the modified single elimination structure.

Oh, the higher the number, the later "rounds wise" you will be starting. I am expecting to start Tuesday afternoon for 8 ball with our starting number.

Well if we have to wait for a winner of a different match that would mean that we don't play the first round which would be cool. I think they put the board up on the internet a few days early so I will be able to see when we are playing.

Thats what I was assuming for singles in May but they never posted a board.

With your high start match number, you should start Tuesday sometime.

I don't know about the vendor list but i know the vendor spots will all taken up really fast, I know of a few vendors that waited to late to sign up.

The dates are August 15-23. Aug 15-18 i think is 9ball and Aug 18-23 is 8ball.

Match Schedule is also online now!

Looks like my teams first match is Tuesday 6pm, round 4.

APA Nationals

I will be there playing in the Masters 3 person team event. I think we should get something going there with AZ Billiards. I know the Bamacues is going to be there also for the 9 Ball Team event.

Its nice that they put up the schedule, but it does cause a bit of confusion. Looks like there are somewhere around 250 teams in all. We go off at 8am bright and early on Tuesday. One can only hope that the team we play are a bunch of power drinkers! Of course, so are the rest of the guys on our team! Sounds like its 11pm until all of the first matches go off, so 8 am and either 6pm or 11pm, depending on whether we win the first match or not. If not, its a quick exit to the wilds of the Hard Rock, where lots of skimpy clothed gals try to catch beefcake, beefcake! Of course, I'm just interested in the booze and gambling......too old to worry about young chickieseetas.

I think for 8 ball, i counted almost 700 teams or a little more. Where did you get the 250 from?

because the apa is the largest league and most known in the pool world, how did it become so popular with the way it is set up? the rules are a joke slop isnt pool, if i wanted to play slop i could walk into any bar and play on their piece or crap tables. Do any pro players play by these rules? would you play money matches with these rules?

Ben

Just about every pro that plays 9 ball, 10 ball, and other rotation games play slop.

I hate the APA too. But slop is part of most everyone's game.

going to vegas

I didn't count them all....bless you for your patience! The highest match number I saw was 510, figuring that the number of teams was half of that or so.

Iwill be there for 10 days. 9-ball Teams, Masters tournament and as many mini tournaments as possible.

well I only counted 2 pages to make sure they are the same and they are so it's 49 teams on a page and there are 15 pages (but the 15th page isn't full), so it's 49x14+the rest on page 15 and i think it equals 707 or something like that, i forget.
