Huge upset day 1, Mike dechaine loses to Eric Hjorelfson from Canada. Eric played a ton of safeties and never allowed Mike to get going.

Yes, strange match. Dechaine started out fine with two B&R's. Then in the remaining 12 games of the match they had no B&R's, and they broke dry 9 times (6 by Hjorleifson). And the non-breaker ran out in his first inning only twice after those 9 dry breaks.

I wouldn't call it a huge upset. Erik doesn't get to the big US events, but he is right up there with Klatt and Morra in terms of Canadian talent.

They both had trouble on the break, but Erik played some jam up safes and frustrated Mike.
