By the way I heard "THE NEW GREENWAY BILLIARDS" has opened under new management. Haven't been by there yet though and if you're familiar with "The Rack", I heard they got raided for a Texas Express game awhile back. Screwy them running a game nowadays since there are two casinos in town.![]()

I was there during the same time frame you were. Most of the time on the weekends, Friday night until Sunday morning a lot of the time. You are correct, there was some amazing talent hanging around back then. I didn't get to see a lot of back room action as the door was usually locked. I did match up with Lambert once in the back room. The tables were so wet that I couldn't play a lick on them. I also remember them boiling shrimp when road players were in town. Wet tables favored the locals that's for sure.
There was more than one "The Rack" when I lived there, I believe there were three all owned by a man named Lindy IIRC. Is the new room you speak of going to be called Greenway Billiards? Will it be in the same location as the old one?
