Dr. Dave,
That controlled draw drill at the 13:00 mark is something that players need to master. It's not that easy to draw back just a few inches. I've had it occur many times and if I can cheat the pocket and draw back off the rail and then bump into position I will do so. But sometimes you can't and you have to have that ability to draw back a couple of inches to maybe a foot.

just mad as when i buy a donut i get less product because of the hole. so i gravitate to bismarks which are certainly tastier albeit more unhealthy.

you have seemed to have devised a use for a hole with is basically nothingness. congrats on that.

time for bed go and count decimals for pi and rest up for more.

The Donuts are also available in transparent :)

Looks much better on a table, same precision for set up balls. Best thing ever for any kind of deliberate practice for pool.

I much appreciate your contributions and offerings on your website. A fine library.
Now for my coffee and no donuts morning. 🤷‍♂️
I have employed the donuts and see value. (My disclaimer) 😉
My analogous compares to my use of training wheels on my first bicycle.
Or perhaps the t-ball stand to hold the baseball for solo batting practice. Well my solo batting practice consisted of tossing up and hitting pea gravel rocks as they secumb to gravity. I was an outstanding little league hitter. 🤷‍♂️ I did wear out a baseball bat doing it down by the stream. The water of a pond gave the most satisfying feedback of a well struck rock. 😉
So yeah I have employed the binder reinforcing rings. I found value in it. I also found a hazard also. A very minor one but we'll my explanation leads me to Not hazard just not optimal practice for Me at this time. 🤷‍♂️
Whew my Left vs Right practice shows me that one side is analytical and the other creative. A balanced combination is what I strive for. 🤷‍♂️
The sweet and salty would be my analogy.
I prefer to do the repeat drills au nature AL. Kinda like shinny dipping. 🤷‍♂️ The slight variation in ball placement is a feature, not a flaw. The survey of the balls can be refined and help make for the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Hope no offense. Wink (like the movie). Couldn't find the clip but stumbled upon this one. 🤷‍♂️
No offense intended. 😉

My favorite donut challenge would be
Pick a donut
Pick a diamond on any rail
Then Pick a pocket
Using whatever English is required to make the scratch. Then from the same donut strike the same diamond and scratch in a different pocket. Oh what fun. A Left vs Right competition makes it fun and sometimes funny. Well "In the Beginning " .

I use the transparent donuts for all temporary or special-purpose ball positions so I don’t confuse them with my standard donut positions. They are also pretty much invisible to the camera in typical views.

Sometimes it is good to shoot the exact same shot over and over again to work on execution; but I prefer drills like the progressive BU Exam drills, where the CB, OB, or target moves every shot. That way, you can’t get “dialed in” shooting the same shot over and over again.

Avery sells sheets that have four colors. Those can be used to repeat run-out situations. SharkMarks go all the way so you can repeat full 15-ball positions -- solids, stripes and the cue ball. They look solid on the sheet, but there are holes punched in each sticker, like regular donuts.
