Why all the hype with Titleists?

Well, just played with a friends Titleist conversion and I must say it's the best hitting cue. WOW!

The conversion was done by Tascarella with nothing fancy, just a leather wrap. The cue looks great and plays better.

Just my .02, not that anyone cares.

well.. first.. i would say the reason your friends titlist cue plays soo well is because it was coverted by Tascarella...

if another another cue maker converted it.. it would be different.. every one uses different techniques in doing it.. from the taper, to the joint construction..
and the shafts....

without seeing pics, i would say that Pete probably converted it full splice and didnt add a handle area...

your friend had his cue converted by a master.. there are many people that can do it and do it well.. Pete lives up to all the hype for sure..

I must admit I'm really confused with this titleist... I know the golf brand but is it related with pool? Why this "titleist" name? Please explain.

Titlist is also the name Brunswick used for a line of cues they made...

alot of them were house cues and alot of them were Willie Hoppe cues...

wich there are many replicas and tribute cues designed after today...

what happens is, if you find a good straight one, you can get it converted into a nice playing cue.. imagine having a cue made out of really old strong wood from the 1930's
..

anyways.. here is a link to The Palmer Collector (Chris Tate) website where he has a great write up about the Story of the Titlist cue..

thanks for the clarification. Interesting article. How much cost this conversion?

There is no "e" in the Brunswick "Titlist" there is an "e" in the "Titleist" golf ball.

depends on who does it and the teir of the cue maker...

there probably is a cue maker for every budget on having one converted..
depends on the cue maker and depends on how fancy...

you have to buy the titlist your self.. assuming its staight and the right length and stuff.. they could run you several hundred just for that alone...
