Why Allison is a pocketing machine

Gotta love those who still believe in the magic pill. He sees a pro with perfect shooting stance and delivery , and he still wonders what magic system he uses . When that kid already could hit the eyes of them balls before the magic pill franchise was started . And the kid still checks the contact point on the money ball in an open table often .
There is no magic pill.
The closest to it is perfect stance and delivery .
Amazingly, he and Allison have the cue touching the same part of the pectoral almost all the time .
No twitching after getting down .

I like how Mark used a tablet connected wirelessly to a big monitor to show everyone the video. Nothing in this video was about how to aim. The video was about how to be in line physically with the line the player has chosen. How to choose that line is the actual aiming part. That's what the eyes do as the player is coming to the table. IF a player is good at choosing the right shot line, in other words AIMING, then the next step is to execute the shot because the small sphere being struck by a leather tip with an abrasive surface is very touchy about the vector that the force comes from. So Mark is 100% correct that a straight stroke is required and that proper posture is essential to getting a straight stroke.

Where AIMING comes in, since this forum is about AIMING, is that IF a player does not choose the correct shot line then that player will either shoot dead straight and miss OR they will have to change the vector to get the cueball to either arrive at the right spot OR by using spin to throw the object ball in through a gearing effect.

I guess according to Joey, based on his worship of Mark Wilson's video above, Judd Trump is just awful and shouldn't be able to make a ball.

I mean look at this guy's awful stance and cue not in line with the shoulder and back foot.

And just look how he never looks for a contact point. Almost like he isn't concerned with it and possibly doesn't use contact points when aiming.

Just look at the terrible shotmaking this guy exhibits...... he has NO FUTURE on tables with tiny pockets. I mean what can he possibly be looking at standing there holding his cue like that. And then just to go from that whatever it is to a shooting position that violates all rules of form according to Joey....

And here is ANOTHER one who isn't using that "textbook" form....how can this guy EVER make a ball?

Why is the cue over his ear? I am so confused because Joey is telling us that Allison's form as shown by Mark is what it should always be.

Thank God we still have coaches like Lowry, Fiejen, Briesath and Wilson who teach solid fundamentals as foundation to the game .
Not some twitching over-complicated system that takes a decade or two to even comprehend while ignoring solid fundamentals .

Can you point to any instructor who doesn't teach solid fundamentals?

The ones you went to for aiming system magic and did not fix your chicken wing, death grip , stance and horrid follow .
Let us know who they were . What pool instructor taught you pivoting system to over complicate your already bad form.
Are you really going to argue against Allison's form for a righty and right-eye dominant .
Tell us how your form is better .
Stop using insanely talented people who got away with bad form.
Next thing you're going to argue is Keith and King Kong are great chicken wingers .

I love Efren but his tucked in elbow and canted wrist should not be taught .

IF I went to any instructor for an aiming system lesson then said instructor would have talked to me about the importance of rock solid fundamentals and likely we would have worked on them to some degree.

I love Efren but no one should play like him is your position?

Err, Ronnie is LEFT EYE DOMINANT.
So? Mark wasn't telling people to stand a certain way because of eye dominance. And anyway just to REMIND you this is the AIMING forum, not the FUNDAMENTALS forum. Here we talk about aiming and not your personal problems with form.

What did Landon do first here? He aimed. How did he aim? Center to Edge aiming.

Here is a video of Landon using Center to Edge aiming while defeating Earl Strickland on a ten foot Diamond Table.

Landon shot a great match here. Anyone that thinks CTE makes you move and do odd stuff should watch and pay attention to a real CTE player. There are no odd movements, just a great pool player playing great pool against another great pool player.

There's only that text book swing. I recall Stan said it was Landon's idea to use chameleon vision. The part you don't get is in order to implement it, you need to cock your head and do Stan's crouch. I'm not a tall person and lack the physical proportions to absorb the odd tensions. My stroke and stance have been through many, many incarnations and I have a pretty good idea of what was going on in all those variations. I now look at the cue ball square and hit the ball better than ever.

It was Landon's idea to learn CTE after Stan took lessons from Hal and verified the information. Landon was about 12 years old at the time.
No crouch is necessary, that's bad information being spread by you. No one is trying to change or discourage the way you play, why are you trying to discourage others.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone. Quit blaming me for your lack of understanding. The Shuffett crouch is what Stan does as he details the process, AS PART OF THE PROCESS. People will discover on their own what's up with their game. You guys are here spamming daily trying to BE the forum. The questionable stuff (gobs when it comes to CTE) will be questioned.
