Why cant we have standardized rules

Then there is minor league, college leagues, high school leagues, corporate leagues, local leagues, little league, T-Ball...and many, many more. Just like pool.

Then there is softball. Fast pitch, slow pitch and then all the various leagues.

In fact, a lot more people play with some other standard of rules and regulations than MLB than actually play MLB. A lot more.


There are even other pro leagues...I don't know Japan and other countries where baseball is popular, but I feel confident there are rule and regulation variations from our MLB compared to their professional leagues.

Chop, there is very little difference from HS to the pros in baseball. And in kids leagues they are the pretty darn close, but change a few things because they could never understand "drop 3rd strike " or "infield fly rule" but the majority of the game is the same

And most foreign pro leagues follow the American game since it is an American game, and thus why US teams play in Japan and elsewhere without scratching their head and saying "who the hell made that a rule"

And you can't throw softball in the mix, as its not baseball, but even then the rules are pretty standard, 3 strikes is an out , 3 outs an inning, etc

someone that played baseball would not scratch their head watching a softball game as even the few rules differences don't come up much

I guess you all are right no matter what a person does or says there really is no hope of having any league play that has the same pool rules and equipment. That is truly sad. If we could have only one governing body for pool leagues or if they all merged we might even have a chance of not just becoming a respected sport but with everyone in the same league nationwide the pots should be far larger. The profits could also be used to help promote it even further.
