Why didn't Thorsten Hohmann use the trangle to rack up the balls??

If what I am thinking is correct, you tend to see it more overseas. And I believe it is done to help preserve the equipment.

With that being said, if a match or tournament is started with the use of a rack, I would think that it should stay that way for the duration of the match. Also I would think that you could change racks either because the outer dimensions of the rack may be slightly different and it may change wheather or not a breakball is inthe racking area.

Hope this helps !

at home i often quit using the rack because i could get the balls tighter without it. after a few breaks, the balls make divits in the cloth making racking by hand visually easier than using a rack. if you use a rack, after the cloth has been "divited" then you are likely to not get the balls back in their respective divets. furthermore; if one of the divits gets changed in the course of the game, it's easy to just tap the ball back into place and tight with the others.

hehe,

i think i didn t use a rack for a very long time- no matter if table is tapped or un-tapped (i hate tapped tables- for me most terrible thing happened to our game).
