Chuck,
Keep on buying man. I used to be that way, and I loved it. Had the golf clubs, some decent cues, and tons of stereo equipment. Now I have a wife, and kids and my 'budget' wont allow for as much free spending. Instead of purchasing tons of 'new' equipment, I have to use that money for traveling tourneys, hotels, etc. I have a good wife, but it still is hard to tell her I am considering another cue around 1000.00.
I used to gamble more than I can now. Back then, I would take my winnings and save up for whatever equipment I needed. That way it didnt come from my actual salary 'directly'.
Heck, I live in an area where my mortgage, insurance, property taxes are 600.00.....I cannot imagine living in a big city in an expensive apartment. Good luck to your progress to get better, and purchasing of the best equipment!
