Why do pros do bar box tournaments? Serious reply's only

I think Justin wasn't as big of a idiot. Justin just likes to buy cues, ask the same cue questions, and try to figure out how to get something for nothing. This user is just cheap, asinine, and for the most part childish.

One answer:
- I asked a prominent pro a similar question abut why they play 9 ball and 10 ball tournaments but rarely play 8 ball. His answer was enlightening
"because that's what the promoters offer" basically, they play whatever they can to make a living

Another answer:
- I read an article and SVB was quoted as saying bar box 8 ball is his strongest game and he loves playing it.

That would make sense seeing as all had around was a lot of bars with bar boxes and such.

Shane grew up playing on bar boxes and his mom, aunt and grandpa were bar table champions. I think Shane played in the BCA Nationals for the first time when he was only 11 or 12.

This. The White Diamond tourney got so big it had 2 Calcuttas and pretty sure the 1st was over or close to 100k
