Not trying to Hijack the thread but can anyone give any info on talent in there area that turned to cards J.Bowman is a name that comes to mind in my area:D

In the Phoenix area

Andy Scott is probably the most notable to just stop playing pool all together and play poker full time...

In the Cali area I can think of three that turned to cards

Mark Tad
Tang Hoa
Jay Helfert

I'm pretty sure Mark Tadd is back into pool. He was on the action boys live feed from DCC talking about it.

So is Jay and Tang......

I remember watching Tang play a first round winners side match in a tournament a few years back...He was not playing like the Tang I remembered seeing and was getting beat pretty bad...He made a comment to a friend in the stands......"The faster I lose this match, the faster I can get to the poker room and make some money".....It was kind of a joking type comment, but needless to say...he did not report for his loser bracket match.
