Why do we continue to allow people like pocket point destroy the game by belittling everyone who plays it? He's not the only on on here that does it. In this tough economy and with pool at a low playing the game in any form is a good thing to continue the growth of the game. I don't like apa or tap. Handicap leagues just aren't for me for various reasons but there's a lot of people playing in those leagues!! If it gets the average guy putting a cue stick in his hand and buying cues or anything related to supporting the game we love so what! Let them be happy doing it. I play leagues and tournaments and see the positives and negatives of both.
If there playing the game it's good for the game...no matter what form of play they take part in!
I love playing those guys! I especially love the ones that are stupid enough to agree to play on a 9' afterwards! If they can't win on a barbox, what makes them think they can win on a 9'?? Adding two feet at MAX is not going to change why they were missing in the first place.
The solution is easy. No one respond to pocket point's threads. If no one posts in them they will run down the list very quickly and die. If he starts bumping his own threads to keep them up front we can report him to the mod.
I am in favor of free speech, but he is simply trying to encite people's emotions. He isn't added constructively to the conversation. When he begins to do that, we can again respond. It is a very simple solution.
How many threads has he started in the past few days about barbox 8 ball, 10+?
True to an extent.
I care about this game a great deal. Our sport is being raped by the leagues. Mainly BCA and APA. I know that house leagues can be operated in a way that is good for pool.
Playing on a bar box, even a diamond 7' table is not playing pool. These tables belong in a bar, where people want an activity to do while they are drinking. These people are not playing pool, even though they are utilizing pool cues and miniature pool tables.
