Why Efren is the greatest.

Alright! I just read this on page 3 and nobody has any answers....including me. Let's start again.....the first shot posted by the o.p...... HOW THE HELL DID HE DO THAT! Obviously; he hit 3 short rails and pocketed the ball.

Watching it though, it's iobvious the OB had to have counterclockwise spin on it after hitting the 2nd short rail in order for it to come back in the direction of the long rail, which it had to do in order to produce the proper angle for the eventual pocket..

So how did he manage to ensure that the OB had slight counter - clockwise spin on it as it hit the second short rail.? I'M TOTALLY MYSTIFIED!

Alright.....about 29 hours ago I dragged this back from the third page. No one posted after mine. So now I'm dragging it back from the second page. I'm not quitting until I get an answer!

It's a 3 - short rail bank. He called it in the corner pocket it eventually dropped into. That's clearly evident. There's no way he meant for it to be a one - rail bank unless he totally mis hit the CB. The OB is near the corner pocket point. He banked the OB towards the middle of the table and sent the CB into the long rail to the left of it.

The OB end up hitting the opposite short rail slightly (from Efren's perspective) to the right of the first diamond. It then comes back to the original short rail slightly to the right of the half - way point between the pocket point and the first diamond. It then takes an angle into the other corner pocket.

The only way this could happen is if the OB had counter clock - wise spin on it after hitting the second short rail slightly to the right of the first diamond. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER EXPLANATION?

So let's look at the theory that he originally intended for it to be a one rail bank, totally mis - hit the ball, and it was all a lucky accident. If this is the case, what did he accidentally do to cause the OB to have counter - clockwise spin on it as it hit the second short rail. I, in fact, read right here in this forum that Reyes likes to watch beginners play. He learns much from their shots which produce "Accidental luck."
He then does the same thing deliberately.

I'll go with the theory that if something like that can result from luck, he's already learned how to do it deliberately, and he intended for it to be a 3 short - rail bank. I think he made it precisely as he drew it up in his head. So how did he produce counter - clockwise spin on the OB as it hit the second short rail slightly to the right of that diamond.

The OB HAD to have counter - clock wise spin on it as it hit that rail. Once again......DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER EXPLANATION? .......How the hell did he do it?

Actually, TheMadScientist gave you an answer two posts above yours.
I also managed to successfully do the shot - low right on the cue ball and cut the 10 ball a bit to the left.
It's easier to do it on middle pockets first and then when you have it down, move on to banking it table length.

My pool partner on Tuesdays plays one pocket with Efren all the time. He says that shot is a typical 1 pocket shot. Use lower right to transfer left english on to the object ball.
