Why have weekly tournaments on the same night????????

Again, I am asking a simple question and your comments are appreciated.
I would think having 30 players instead of 15 is a good business choice.:smile: Just doesnt make alot of sense to me. I would certainly support both tourneys if they were on different nights.:smile:

I don't really think this is the place to discuss an issue like this. But since you choose to I will give you my opinion. First your point of view is bias, you do, and you have supported City Lights and then Malarkeys for ever. You have contacted Bca Team Captains that play for my Room and requested they leave to play at the room you support. You have also bad mouthed me and my pool room from it's beginning four years ago, why I do not know, and I honestly don't even care. Because, I have built a business without your approval and also without your help. In my opinion this issue should only be discussed between the room owners, because that is the only way things can be accomplished. But, if you want to stir the pot continue to do so, because nothing you can do will change anything, my business is going very well, and that is only due to offering something people want.

Right, Andrea I was born at night, however, it was not last nigth. You have never shown up at a single tournament I have had in the four years I have been open.

Oh and by the way, my tournaments use to be on different nights, where were you?

You know, around here, there are tournaments everyday of the week. So are you suggesting only allowing one establishment a night to hold a pool tournament? What kind of radius are we talking about, within 10,15,25 miles? Good luck with that. How about making the tournament you want to succeed the best one around on that night and I am sure the players will choose that one.

That's the way I look at it, too. I would RATHER have more tournaments to go to through the week, if I'm playing regularly.

I can see that I stepped into a pile of something. Can't seem to get it off, though.

Not to make one person's suggestion sound more right than another's, I still hold that when I was playing in tournaments, I wanted very much to go to more of them, but everyone held them on the same night and that made me quite upset, back then. I thought the owners did it on purpose and it really p-o'd me. Now, I just figure it's their loss and I save my bucks for my own games. I can't even remember the last tournament I joined. I just play for the enjoyment and skill of the game.

It's really not worth the fight. If more people just gave up and saved their bucks for their own personal games, and/or went somewhere else, it would save everyone a lot of grief and maybe even prevent some health problems... for the customer AND the owner! Looking back, I can imagine the grief I gave our pool hall owners.

Now, shake hands and go home, you guys. You seem to have opinions that don't seem to "click". Not worth the grief, or the bandwidth.

Your opinion is very welcome, and I agree with the content of what you have said. However, trust me you really do not have a clear picture of what this thread is about, or what has been and is going on.

Thanks for your advise, that is also very sound, but people are not always as they seem to be, sometimes there is other motivation at work.

This forum is also not the place to correct a problem like this, the only way things can be changed is by the owners talking things through, not by a third party.

I totally agree, in fact this should not have even been brought here in the first place, myself and the other owner should have talked about this if there was issue. There is no need for a third party to be so involved.
