why not break from the head spot?
i mean both players obligatorily / necessarily by the rules (new ones)
does this have a point?what do you think? for 8 ball. 9ball.10 ball and rotation only

One reason might be that if you break every time from the head spot (or any spot), you will create a divot that will eventually cause problems. Breaking with a piece of cloth under the cue ball will remedy this, but some folks don't like the "break cloth" because they forget to pick it up immediately after the break is struck...

If you really want to make the break a challenge, you could make the shooter break from a spot frozen on the rail below the head spot!

If you make the break difficult enough, people will start using a straight pool break. This may or may not be the result you are looking for.

Thank you kindly.

That's the solution. Its a two step process.

1. Use a straight pool break using ALL the balls.

2. Proceed to play straight pool.

Well, are you hoping to solve a problem?
If yes, what is the problem?

Is the problem that players make balls on the break consistently?
Why is that bad? They're supposed to.

Is the problem that people spend too long racking? I agree that's boring.
But cue ball on the head spot won't solve that problem.
They will still want a perfect rack.

Is the goal to make it so players will always make a ball, but they don't always have
an easy shot on the 1 ball?

Well, in 9 ball, I think racking with the 9 on the spot seems to fix this problem.
In 10 ball, it seems like not that many players have mastered the break.
