Why so many Schon cues for sale?

honestly i am tired of all the talk about r series being better etc

i even talked to Bob Runde and asked him if there was any reason
for the sharp points or old to play better
He laughed and reminded me that I knew better

schons play the same as always,if not better
why better
they have a huge supply of old heavy shaft wood

if you could mask off the cue,i don't believe 1person out of 10 could tell the difference in r series and the new ones

Evan Clark is making great cues

the question was why are so many schon cues selling on az

actually i doubt that more than average are selling now
second they sell easily because most people like them better than anything else

I agree wholeheartedly, Dean. I've owned many, many different Schon cues and if anything the newer models are way better players in my opinion - particularly due to the taper of the butt and the balance of th cue. Sharp points and micarta ferrules do not make a cue play better.

There is only 29 inches of ANY cue that really can affect your game! Many of us who began playing pool with nothing more than a house cue knew when choosing a cue (from the rack) you looked for one with a good tip and less dings in the 29 inches down (from tip). After playing this game for 56 years (the 1st cue I used was a 1-piece Titlist) I've concluded a full-spliced Sneaky is the only way to go! You get the feel and balance without paying umteen dollars for "decorations"...decoration are what they put into the last 29 inches (joint to butt) which usually destroys the feel in a pool cue. IMO "short-splice" is the worst thing that ever happened to the pool cue! Next to that, "wrapping" a cue ensures you won't have any feel! For 1/2 the price of a short-spliced Schon production cue, you could own a full-spliced custom made Sneaky!

Btw IMO, when it comes to production cues, I believe the Adams/Miki company made a much better cue than Schon or any other production cue company. Thanks to the influence of Richard Helmstetter, Adam cues had sharp points and great balance...which were non-existent in Schon cues.
