Will Smith plays pool ok !

Damn...i would hate to play some of your "C" class players in some of the posters area..some people said he wasnt a c player... I dont know many D or lower players who could detect that nine ball in the side carom shot he called but missed...I dont consider A players pro players..I rank D, C B,A then Pro level..but that wasnt bad shooting from will..hell looks like im gona need weight from alot of you guys..hehehe

are you trying to hustle us? :D

some rankings have two types of A players. A+ are the Pros and A- are semi-pros. there is only a slight difference when it comes to the skills of both. the only clear distinction is that pros most often enter official tourneys to earn points and semis keep a very low profile playing money games. the difference is exposure !

Gleason!

Jackie Gleason. Supposedly he was a VERY strong amateur player before The Hustler; used to play for money frequently. I read a story that the guys he used to play at the pool halls got so tired of losing to him they got Willie Mosconi to play him in disguise, just to teach him some humility. Not sure how trustworthy that story is.

I saved these links last time somone posted them here because I enjoyed them so much!

You guys are saying that he strokes well??? Go back and check out that shot on the 4. It's a miracle that ball dropped. He looks like a saturday night banger. They say Danny DeVito plays pretty well though.

i watched a celebrity 8 ball event and vivica fox looked good on the table, I mean she shot well too

I'd still give him the 7ball lol.

But yes he does look like he shoots pool often, he bridge and stroke was pretty good. And he seems to know how to move the CB around the table.
I second that man, lol, The Seven, I love it.

Will Smith is also an excellent chess player. I think he is considered an "A" level chess player according to the United States Chess Federation ranking scale.

Comparing it to pool, I would say an "A" chess player would be a strong shortstop.

It would be cool to see Will show up at the DCC one year, and get some $50.00 action against Efren on the chess board.

That's a little harsh, I would put him above "banger" status.

Factoring in a little jet lag, I thought he shot pretty well. What's with all the flak? C'mon, give the guy props for playing the game!

I liked his comment when he barely missed the eight ball combo that it must be a "Japanese" table. :D

$50 action??? Will Smith was the highest paid actor a few years ago (don't know if it's still true). He wipes his ass with Benjamin's face.

Highest paid actor vs. Highest paid pool player = $50 on a chessboard. I would think these guys play for 400-500 a game. I wonder...how do you adjust weight in a game such as chess? Anyone wanna play queenless?

who mentioned here that Will strokes well? it's more like he pockets the balls well. I know what you mean, his strokes were not that fluid though still makes 'em. for a guy who doesn't commit to playing pool much, he's a pretty decent player. still the saturday night banger comment was a bit too much. ;)

Lol. I'm don't mean any disrespect to Mr. Smith. I love his work in the film industry. Unfortunately, he is no pool player. I don't know if anyone noticed the buckets on that table but I think you would actually have to put forth some effort to miss a shot. I retain his banger status, but on the higher end of banger. However, a c-player he is not. I would think he owns a table in each of his houses. That probably explains his ability to pocket a ball. I think it's pretty obvious that he did not continue playing after that Fresh Prince episode. Losing the benz must have taught him a lesson.

Yup, I noticed the buckets of the special japanese table :D !!! some of us mentioned here that with some instructions, he could become a C player. but with his present skills, atleast I'll enjoy playing him, instead of playing those japanese actors :D . I just can't stand playing opponents who most of the time miss balls. by the way drew, what is your category as a pool player?

I hope you're not hustling Drew ! :D

Hustle??? Me??? Never!!!

I can hold my own on the table. I'll beat the 9-ball ghost on a bar box. 7-ball ghost on a 9'. My barbox 8-ball game could use a little push...I don't run out as often as I'd like.
