Willie hoppe cue

Anyone ever put calipers on an old willie hoppe cue butt. Just wondering how big they are

man they big, fat and ugly! butt sleeve is 1.38" right at bottom trim ring before butt plate and 1.32" right at bottom of wrap. forearm is about 1.06" at top of wrap. mine is just a bit too butt heavy and I figure on maybe getting it to weight watchers some time in the future. but(no pun intended ,really) it just breaks so good it may be my break cue. will not fit many of my cases. ok in older George cases with"felllini" latch but not newer George cases.

Thanks bud. I owned a couple when I was a kid knew they were huge but didn't know exactly. Wanna sell that thing?

think i'll hold on to it. probably going to get it put on a diet by ryan(RATCUES) before long. had him do some excellent work on it. it had a bunch of problems when I got it. ugly red/black nylon wrap, loose on bottom end. brass joint, brass joint screw. ryan did fix all the above, put a nice butt cap/bumper on it. redid the joint excellently! brown gator wrap. hits fine but too fat yet and about 20 lbs. overweight. think i'll get it back up to him soon.

I picked up a '70s Willie Hoppe on a trade with the intention of converting it.
I decided to just fix it up for now.
The butt is so big it won't fit through the headstock of my South Bend 13! So I did the joint work on an old Delta wood/metal lathe using a center rest.
Also, I wanted to see what it would look like with a Hoppe ring under the "bumper".
All my materials like Delrin and Juma are too small at 1.375" to match the butt.
