Hi all,

I thought they were going to keep the win% from the North American Open, and continue from there. Now I don't see it in the stats. Does someone know more about this?
God it's good though, this tour continueing. The IPT rocks.

I saw it the other day toodling around on the IPT website. It's there somewhere if you keep a clicking! :p

The coverage is FANTASTIC. There is real-time scoring streaming in. It doesn't get any better than this. :D

I'm looking forward to reading the writer's blog on the inside scoop as to any exciting happenings during the first round. :)

Your avatar keeps getting better and better too, Double-Dave!

Thanks JAM, your's looks good too. You did scare me a bit with those 120 pounds, I'm hoping Delia doesn't make it to that, she's at 50 now. Now I read in my email they're gonna change/diversify the payouts so it makes a difference where you end up in your group. Lots of changes.

"There is real-time scoring streaming in."

Yeah. Only that it's not really streaming in, nor it is real-time. :)

As soon the the players complete their matches, they are required by the IPT rules to turn in their scorecard before exiting the tournament room.

The scores of each and every single match, each and every single day, is posted IMMEDIATELY each and every time a match has concluded.

On cbssportsline, for baseball I can see every pitch, location, speed, and outcome 15 seconds after it happens. I can see a player's batting average or era update after each at bat. The IPT website is nice, but nothing special.

I'm glad that they re-did the scorecards. For the GW% percentage column, it states..."GW% as of Round 1". So I'm guessing the GW% numbers for the Round 1 scorecards will remain fixed once the round is complete...unlike last tournament where the GW% on the scorecards of previous rounds reflected the GW% of the player at the present time. There was a lot of confusion last tournament when viewing the scorecards online, especially if the players GW% goes down throughout the tournament. Again, it shows that the IPT listens to our critiques.

Jeezy peezy, talk about a bunch of NIT-pickers. The IPT website is extraordinary. Never before has pool been put on such a platform.

If you cannot appreciate the fact that each match result is being provided immediately upon its completion, something no one has ever done before, then you're an ingrate.

For the life of me, I've never read so much nitpicking and crapola. What in the hell can the IPT do better that it's not doing now? Each event gets better, the players are happy, and the checks are good. There's now a professional tour which has transparency and welcomes aspiring players of all nationalities. It's the best thing that's happened to pool since "The Color of Money," and yet there always seems to be a few crackpots picking it apart at every turn. Nothing happens overnight, and the IPT has made great strides.

Nothing special? Gimme a break!

Yeah, except Eurotour where they have score updates during the match.

What a pity that Eurotour couldn't provide a platform for players of all nationalities to play real pool with real rules and real money.

How long has the Eurotour been in existence, BTW?

The IPT is less than a year old, and, man, look at them go! Long live the IPT, and may you enjoy watching the real-time coverage of the Eurotour. I'll keep on following the IPT as it blossoms. It keeps getting bigger and better, and the Eurotour? I ain't ever heard of anybody in my neck of the woods enjoying the fruits of its labor!

USA all the way.

USA all the way.

Long live the IPT!

Realize that there are 50 matches going at all times today and tomorrow. That would mean 2 or 3 updates per minute. I guess they could have an electronic device at each table transmitting results after every game. But it would take an awful lot of manpower or cell phone text messaging to update results after every game.

It is probably do-able once they get down to twenty players left.

On the Eurotour there is about 25 matches going on the same time, and after each rack on each table the score is updated on the website. Really good system. About 4 - 8 people are in the arena, wathcing maybe 4 - 6 tables each. They are having small computers (size of an iPod), and every time a player wins a rack they just re-type the score and press enter, and the score updates on the web. Every 5 second there is an update on www.eurotour.nu during the Eurotours. Check it out during the Eurotour in Weert 21-23 of September! 9 million hits on their website from the start of the tournament on Thursday and before the semifinals started on Saturday, during the Eurotour in Austria a couple of months ago. Not bad...

This is the only thing I think that the IPT needs now, live-updates for each rack. Guess it will come later... However, the IPT is way ahead of all other pool tours! No doubt!!!

I with you Jenny ...

They are learning and improving with each event. The mods they made for this event are great, and I am impressed with the user friendliness of it. I've been around computers for 30+ years, and nothing is magical, it is all hard work, sort of abstract mechanics if you will. Point being, they are listening, they are improving, they have done good for the short time they have been in operation. All you 'want everything yesterday people' need to give them a break.

I just want to mention

for everyone that if you go into 'Statistics', it lists all the players with wins, etc., and THAT YOU CAN SORT BY ANY CATEGORY HEADING. I just sorted by win percentage to see who is leading in win percentages. Danny Harriman is right up there, Gabe is doing good too.

These sites are ok but the IPT website is at a much higher level from a professional point of view. They really are doing a great job. Where the EuroChamps website still has the edge is the ipaq live scoring, this is a great idea but I beleive the IPT are catching up here too.

I agree!! Just pointing out that he is the one who made it possible to get real live scores! Walking around with the PDA Thingies! And sorry but i love throwing around the websites of people i support!!:o :D Love your site aswell!!
