Winfeilds Twisted Cue Club In Tacoma, Washington Closes it's Door's 23 July 2007

Hello Az members, I have some sad news Winfields Twisted Cue Club and Restaurant has closed it's doors. Winfields was located in Tacoma, Washington and it opened it's door's in March of 2007. Winfields was located in the Old University Union Mansion and consisted of three floors, with the Twisted Cue Club being on the Bottom Floor, and a Very Nice Restaurant on the floor above. Unfortunately, as of 23 July 2007 this fine establishment has closed it doors for the last time. I am myself a Pool Room owner, and even though this business was located within the same operational area as my business, I hate to see any room fail. I can also truly sympathize with the individuals who owned this business, and I hope that they over come these tough times.

Have a great day

Not that I don't, but 4 months? They opened without enough capital to last even a year. Is the restaurant surviving(oops. saw itis included. that may be the reason, restaurants are harder to keep going., but still).. How big was it? It sounds like there are other factors invovled to me. One thing they opened wrong time of the year and since they did, they should have had the smarts to last through a winter. A room in Wash. should be a no brainer because of all the rain.

It was around 8000 sq ft, with all three floors. I agree they made some mistakes, but I am still sorry to see rooms close, it just kinda sucks:(

I know all the pool rooms in Washington State, having owned 3 of them myself, in my opinion they were doomed from day one opening with multiple floors...especialy in Tacoma!!, that reason is enough to add to much employee labor, not to mention most people don't like having to travel from floor to floor.
