Wizard tips

Yeah I just want to try something different that I don't hear a lot about. Thanks.
I tried the kamui black for about a month and it spun the ball too much and I couldnt control it.

The Wizards are, IMO, a well made tip. Some of the AZ players who have more experience with Mooris than I do have compared them to 1st generation Mooris. All I know is that I have installed a few Wizards for a few of the locals who are die hard Moori fans and I haven't heard any negative feedback as of yet. I put a couple of Wizards on my playing shafts and like them. Decent cue ball control, no losing shape or mushrooming. I'm not a huge Moori fan to begin with so these hit the spot for me. My first Deano sneaky came with one and that pretty much cinched the deal.
I found them to be too hard, went back to Moori M.

These are excellent choice of tips. They're a lot like old Moori II's and seem to be pretty consistent one tip to another. I have put these tips on quite a few cue's for solid shortstop level players and the response is usually that they like the Wizard Medium tip a lot. :thumbup2:

I played with original Moori's for years and tried out the Wizard when prices for orig Mooris were gettin ridiculous. To my surprise, Wizard tips are really great tips. They hold chalk really well and shape easy without layers stripping off. They hold shape really well and rarely ever need facing due to mushrooming. Overall an excellent choice and you cant beat the price.

I have a wizard on my shaft. No mushrooming. Plays good IMO. Very low maintenance. BTW, im a total tip nerd. I check it for mushrooming, radius and chalk holding every session. About once every 5 sessions, i do something other than pick or tap it. I could probably roughen twice on a 4 hour session. The chalkholding seems to drop off after about 2-3 hours. Good spin. Maybe a bit to hard.
Before I put another Wizard on, I'm going to try a Triumph again. Been a few years, but Triumph is about the only tip I've used more than a few times in a row. I thought I would try layered, and like Wizard, but I'm hoping for a bit more, like a tip with a free stroke in the box? :wink:

i wouldn't compare them to older moori's. imo they feel really bouncy. at first they hit real crisp but then they get a little mushy. it seems like there's more glue than leather

The Wizard Mediums are just a hair harder than Kamui Mediums. Overall, they're very good tips
