Could be measured from a top-down photo…Does anyone know what Matchroom uses on their tables for the facing angle on the WNT tables? I understand they're 4" pockets. I should;ve taken some measurements at Yuma but I didn't think about it.
Not with any accuracy, especially from a picture not taken for that sole purpose. Already discussed in the past. Pictures can make angles do weird things.Could be measured from a top-down photo…

Yes, the pic would need to be taken just about perfectly vertically and directly over the pocket’s mouth to be very accurate. But a “good enough” angle might produce a “good enough” measurement…?Not with any accuracy, especially from a picture not taken for that sole purpose. Already discussed in the past. I think I recall that 143° (8° more than parallel) is "spec".Yeah I should've just measured it, it looked more severe than typical. I'm thinking 142-144 degrees
4" & 144deg would be plenty snug.Yeah I should've just measured it, it looked more severe than typical. I'm thinking 142-144 degrees
They were pretty snug....especially the sides. Playable but snug.4" & 144deg would be plenty snug.
4.5" sides are pretty tight.They were pretty snug....especially the sides. Playable but snug.
You think all that is correct? I seriously doubt those faces are 136-138. I put little stock in AI fact searching. BTW, WPA specs are 142deg. No way those pockets are that far off.This is what AI says;
Matchroom’s World Nineball Tour (WNT) uses heavily strict tournament specifications with tight corner pocket mouths cut down to roughly 4 inches (and 4.5-inch side pockets). To accommodate these ultra-tight openings without causing excessive ball rattling, the horizontal cushion facing cut angles are typically adjusted flatter/straighter (closer to 136°–138°) compared to standard recreational 142° angles, paired with a deep shelf. I promise you that the diamond blue labels at the arizona open were not straighter. I went the AI route and I got 3 different answers. Plus AI is using the rasson table specsThis is what AI says;

People using AI to find table 'facts' is getting waaaaaay past old.I promise you that the diamond blue labels at the arizona open were not straighter. I went the AI route and I got 3 different answers
Never said it was correct, said it was what AI said.You think all that is correct? I seriously doubt those faces are 136-138. I put little stock in AI fact searching. BTW, WPA specs are 142deg. No way those pockets are that far off.
Technically you could but the camera placement/focus/scale would have to be perfect.You can't measure pocket angle looking down from the top. Angle is correctly measured off the tip/point of the cushion.
If you neasure the top edge you will be a degree or degree and a half off
then why post it? AI is so full of errors its a joke.Never said it was correct, said it was what AI said.
I think people who are always playing the “Get off my lawn” act are waayyyy older!People using AI to find table 'facts' is getting waaaaaay past old.
