WNT in 2025 and WNTTV-dot-com Subscription

I was automatically transferred from my $1.99 per month Mathcroom-dot-live subscription earlier this month to the new WNTTV-dot-com. Since I subscribed early to Matchroom-dot-live, I was able to keep my $1.99 monthly fee throughout my time with Matchroom-dot-live. Great deal!

I did receive an email that I would be charged the new rate for WNTTV-dot-com at $10. No worries. I'm happy to pay for good coverage and say buh-buy to the predatory website DAZN.

That said, the first event for WNT to see on the stream in 2025 is in May, the UK Open. I'm wondering if I should cancel my sbuscription and wait until then to pay the $10 a month or maybe pay $100 a year in May 2025 to get the savings. Seems odd to wait 5 months for an event and pay $10 a month. Thoughts?

Here is the schedule: 2025 WNT Schedule on WNTTV-dot-com

I am a little disappointed that I already paid for the year with no upcoming events in coming months. I should have held off, but they do have a quality archive. I also hoped they had some special live steam of DCC, but it was the same low quality, single angle everyone else had.

Give and ''get''.
Contact em.... Ask em if you'll have/GET special treatment, cost wise since your on board at it's inception.
I know that move is used in the Medicare system.

NowadaaaaaaaaaaaaaZe.... where a network show is 40% commercials over 60 minutes.

I find the wording of products, services Extremely Deceiving.....especially when they sell/Push their GUARANTEE of how great they are until you ''get it''. :)
TODAY IN THIS business/marketing/enviornment world..............THEY are Extremely tricky with their wording.... Especially....to Not get worked ''into a corner'' and it will cost the company money.
They try & create and environment where they are always right.
Kinda like a judge that doesn't like you.

The WNT sked is far from settled.

Just looking at the partial sked, the first event to be shown looks to be the Seattle open at the end of March. WNT TV also indicates that video of the McDermott Open in early April and the Taom Open in late April will be shown.

Then would come the Scottish Open (April 30-May 4)) and UK Open (May 6 to 11).

WNT has also held an open in Spain in April the past two years, though it was downgraded in 2024.

What is missing from the sked are two invitational events that are typically early.

The Premier League of Pool took place last year from March 18 to March 25 at Jayson Shaw's pool room in Connecticut. I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar date in 2025.

There was talk toward the end of this invitational last year that it could stay at Shaw's place, but no word yet.

The World Pool Masters, for its part, took place in 2024 on April 25-28. MR is adding more ranking events, so it has to make sure the Premier League and WPM don't take place when other ranking events are being held.

Finally, Frazer said last year the World Cup of Pool is coming back after it was skipped in 2024.

The last one, in 2023, was held at the end of June and the start of July. I'd expect a similar time frame this year. MR even teased the 2023 World Cup on its Facebook/Reels page just this morning.

I thought about holding off on my subscription, but I want to do my tiny part to get WNT.TV off to a good start. The only month that might be bare is February. Things will pick up in March.

The only upcoming streaming event I see is in May. Yes, there are ranking events coming up, but is WNTTV-dot-com going to stream them? I guess I'm not sure I understand.

Most of the events I listed were either partially (Seattle) or fully streamed on YouTube/DAZN last year. The current sked indicates there will be TV for Seattle, Taom, Scotland and of course the UK.

MR will need to fill up WNT.TV with events, but guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Well, this just dropped, but it does not specify a date certain. I loved the Spanish Open in Lugo. The audience made it so much fun and you could see the players also enjoyed the atmosphere.

Glad to see the Spanish Open back. I thought the first one was a big success. Wonder if the WCP will piggyback off of that like it did in 2023.

I am sure MR would love to get its full sked out, but Frazer has said many times it's still hard to get everything lined up as soon as they want.

I imagine it is more difficult as they seek to expand events. At the same time, even if they won't say publicly, I think MR will try not to step on Predator's toes if Predator announces a date for a major tourney well in advance.

Still, MR will eventually need to gets its full sked out to the players and the public a lot earlier. I expect it to happen as the WNT tour matures.
