Wobbly balls...

My GC3 is pretty level, has Simonis 760 and plays OK (besides the few faults I've asked advice on before on this forum). My problem (?) or question is this. At really slow speeds, an inch or two before the balls comes to a stop, the balls don't track perfectly. It may wobble ever so slightly (maybe 1/4") for the last revolution before coming to rest. When the table lights are off, I see the 760 does have an inconsistently fuzzy layer on it. I think this causes these rolls - I did put on the cloth right side up for the record. It doesn't happen in one spot, it's all over and the cloth and table we clean before installation. The balls are brand new super aramith pros. (I have a cheapie set for guests to use and man they roll funny!) Just curious if this is normal. Would Efren complain?!

I'll be redoing the cloth to fix a popped seam this week so want to know if this problem is something I can fix or if it is just how the cloth is. Thanks as always in advance for the advice. Happy 2012 gents:thumbup:

It's the grain of the cloth, it'll go away with more play on the table:grin:

Much thank RKC - got some more practicing to do it seems! All the best for 2012.

So new cloth at pro tournaments - the best players in the world are ok with these rolls?

I didn't know balls came to a stop on 760. Learn something new everyday. :grin-square:

Happy new year.

as a side note if the balls are older centennials they will become(not all)distorted around the circle encompassing the number of the ball, thus bad rolls. Balls are sometimes and many times the problem.

Any chance brushing the cloth will keep the grain of the cloth from "smoothing itself out" - i.e. keep bringing this fuzz up? I like to brush regularly, maybe every other day...
