Just had my third lesson with Jerry Briesath a few days ago in Madison, WI. I posted here about my first lesson.
So I have this Olhausen table with nasty corner pockets. They're double-shimmed with some sort of material that's harder than cushion material. (Dealer saw a sucker coming and stuck me with this B#$!% without telling me, then wouldn't take it back. Screwed me big time. But I digress.)
Anyway, it's tough to string a run together on my table because the corners will rattle a ball out if you look at 'em wrong.
So tonight I ran the whole table!!! For the first time.
And I've only been playing pool for five months.
These lessons have helped me improve much faster than I would have otherwise. Granted I have a long way to go, can't even practice all that much because of work.
I have no connection to Jerry other than as a student, but let me say this, if you have any way to get to Madison (for about the next month--he leaves for Phoenix AZ after that) you gotta treat yourself to a lesson from this guy. I can almost guarantee he will help you improve a lot faster than you would have otherwise. His number is 608-279-9994. Call the dude, you will not regret it.
These lessons have been the best money I've put into any recreational activity in a long time.
