I'm interested in having a minimalist cue made using just one length of primo/highly figured wood for the entire butt, forearm, etc. - no inlays, maybe wrapped and with silver rings, maybe unwrapped, and with a phenolic joint.
I would like the finished cue, with shaft, to weigh between 18.7 and 18.85. and be of average butt circumference.........My question is - What would my choices of wood be ?......And since I need this cue to come out a little on the light side (approx. 18.8), does that mean that all of the heavier woods like ebony, cocobolo, tulipwood, rosewood, etc. would not be a possible choice for me ?
Thanks in advance for your advice, Ghost
