Wood ID help on a Mohawk

I just found this old Mohawk from CL this morning, swung by to check it out and found it to be completely straight, which is apparently a rare case for this brand. I'm thinking its rosewood on rosewood, with Purple Heart trim rings and section of the bit sleeve. I can take better pics shortly if need be.

You'll find out more info in the search function, but they where apparently the company Falcon turned into. Sold through a gentleman in New Jersey back in the late 80's, early 90's.

Pau Ferro nose, rosewood points? Short sleeve of Purple Heart?

There is some chatoyance in the points and butt sleeve.

I'm thinking Pau Ferro points into goncalo alves and that's my final answer.

Better pic. I scoured a ton of SW pics looking at different goncalo alves and Pau Ferro cues, since SW uses those woods a fair amount.

Like this one for instance. The nose and butt sleeve section is similar to mine, but lighter.

Looks Pau Ferro , but can't tell for sure.
The finish separation on the black rings are interesting to me.
I wonder if they are vulcanized paper or real phenolics.
I am guessing vulcanized paper and are pretty thick.

I was wondering about those rings too. I'm looking for my 45x magnifier to get a better idea. I'll post pics when I find it. Do SW's use ebony on theirs or a phenolic?
