There is a place in pool for the soft break. If you played bar pool a time back you may get punched just playing a safe. Things change.
Soft break does not really always mean soft. It just means not nessersly coming out of your shoes. Many times just the right speed is all you need.

Actually it has. The organized leagues have really introduced proper play to many bar players. I still would not do it to some drunk on a Saturday night.

I'm buying a kryptonite shaft with some of the money I'm being sent by a rich Nigerian prince. The kryptonite shafts are said to put the wood, Kiel-wood, and carbon shafts to shame. Should really elevate my game.

It took me 20 years to get to a Gen 3 shaft. I have no clue on CF

I have a good friend that put his Revo CF in the closet and went back to his standard wood shaft. He is playing better now than he was with the Revo. At the same time I am considering buying a CF just to satisfy my curiosity, you never know until you try....
My Revo is going to be a great breaker as my curiosity was satisfied.
Could we stop gushing over whatever happened yesterday and forget what happened last week or last month or will happen next week?
30 other events were won with a CF shaft, 3 different jump cues, special shoes and a 20 mph break. Who won what most recently is not the deciding factor of the industry or player preferences.
I have not seen the matches, were they actually "soft breaks" as what was banned or just "softer" breaks? A 14 mph break is softer than what most pros would use, but is still not a "soft break".
