Woods for cues

Man....thanks guys...Alot of really good input on this thread for me....I really appreciate all your comments...and all the woods talked about so far are very pretty.....thanks a bunch

Where are you at in OK? I'm having 420trooper over next Saturday for a match. If you're not busy come down and I'll let you try my cues out. I have many to choose from. Just let me know.

Im in Ft Gibson...just south of Tulsa about 50 miles...not sure what is going on next weekend...I will let u know though
 
+1 on the solid Purple Heart.

It may not be that visually appealing especially if it's just a plain jane, but the playability, and the sound, is just awesome! IMO, with this wood, the simpler it gets (less add-ons like inlays), the better it plays :thumbup:


I agree....you can have a real pretty piece of wood....and the cue plays like crap...

I recently had a solid purpleheart cue....man o man....I really regret getting rid of that cue...it was by far the best hitting cue I have ever owned...I felt like the trade I did for the cue was good for me..but I am having second thoughts now...I got exactly what I wanted, but getting rid of that cue is really hurting now....

Yea I agree....that PH cue was prolly the best cue I have ever hit with...I am regretting getting rid of it now
