World 10-ball in manila - may 10 to 15

Anyone know what happened to Archer? I keep looking and can't find out. The brackets that are on the live update page will not load for me. Anyone know?

I think the bracket is screwed up. I can't find Johnny A in the double elm brackets but he shows up in the 64 brackets...if i'm reading it right. Johnnyt

If my understanding the above writeup in Chinese is correct Yahoo news above reported that Fu Che Wei forfeit his match halfway after a wrong call by the ref claiming the was no cushion contacted after the shot made by him . He protested against the ref's call then ,but ref still calls it a foul

Oh boy, SVB is currently down 0 to 5 against Naoyuki Oi in a race to 9, winner's break format.

Live streaming should start at 2 am US est / 11 pm US pacific or a little over an hour from now.

You can watch via PPlive (ESPN China - excellent video streaming but with Chinese commentary) or star billiards (video not that good but with English commentary).

I believe he is out this tournament if he loses.
Both of them won their matches yesterday and they are playing for a place in the last 64. The winner will advance to last 64.

The loser will fall into the losers' bracket of their group.

Thanks, I have corrected my post. SVB still has a chance even if he loses this one.

2 big guns has fallen so far...
Chang Jun Ling and Antonio Lining

Thorsten Hohmann is trailing 2-6 to a fellow German right now..if he loses, he will be out as well.

poor play

man I tuned into this for like 10 minutes on 2 separate occasions today and neils feijen and johnny archer were both playing terribly. Archer's first game I think he missed like 5 makeable shots in a row, last of which was a straight 3 inch shot into the side pocket.

pretty wild. shows that pros have off days too

You can add RALF SOUQUET'S name to this list. He has just been eliminated by HUIDJI SEE by a score of 9 to 4.

Wow. Ralf getting eliminated prematurely in such a big tournament is almost unheard of.

Add CHING SUN YANG's name to the eliminated list. He just suffered his 2nd straight loss of the tournament (first was against JEFF DE LUNA) vs MUHAMMAD ZULFIKRI by a score of 8 to 9.

The final 64 players are now known. The knock out matches will be starting tonight and the format is still race to 9, winner's break.

Does anyone know why Efren and Busty did not play in this tournament?

Efren just got finished with the Hard Times tourney and must be in Vegas now for the 1 pocket and 10 ball

Somebody mentioned earlier that Bustamante is having passport problems- perhaps he is stuck in Germany (that's where he lives, right?)
