I think it's fair to say that Kaci does not fear Filler at all. This is, I believe, at least the third time they've matched up this late into a tournament and Kaci does not flinge or budge at all facing Filler.

Also, regarding the FSR vs Gorst match, I think it was very important for FSR to have a solid outing vs Gorst as some people were questioning FSR's ability since Gorst was not able to play on some super tournaments FSR won in the last few months.

Two games were won on the 3 foul rule in the past two days. I feel its been 10 years since I recall the last time. Very rare, yet twice in two days!

Wasn't Kaci either winning everything or in the finals of the majority of tournaments a couple of years back?

Did he disappear for a while and just showed up again?

Fedor may still lack that last smidge of finishing ability

FSR defence is impeccable, planning and execution on his safeties is best on earth

FSR has MASSIVE amounts of fight and grit

I kind of rank them at the moment Fedor 1A and FSR 1B with the next best a distance third,
would not surprise me if either of these two will put himself ahead of the other over the next few years

FSR's surge up the pool ladder has been pretty fascinating. He's been around for a while. It's not like he came flying out of the gates like Filler. He didn't really hit his stride as an elite player until he was 30 years old. Until 2021, I think most people viewed him as little more than David Alcaide's "understudy" and perhaps a third- or even fourth-tier pro.

Some of the other pros who are in that high 700s/low 800s Fargo range should be inspired by him.

I think he's the only player this has happened with, at least that I can recall. Every other pro you basically know if they are going to be top 10 in the world or top 100 in the world by the time they are 19.

I checked the WPA site, in 2005 Wu won 8 and 9 ball. In 2015 Big Ko won both 9 ball and 10 ball. Both represented Taiwan. In 2022, FSR won 8 ball and in 2023 he won 9 ball.

2022 and 2023 are the only years all three disciplines have (will have) all 3 events.

Obviously not as big of a leap as FSR, but nobody really knew who he was until 2018 when he was 22-23 years old.

They’ve done a good job keeping Kristina out of the booth during Fedor’s marches, but she made a comment about his and FSR’s match during Semi-Finals #2. She said that FSR got every roll or Fedor got every roll against him. Something to that effect. That is a wholly inappropriate comment for any commentator to make let alone a player’s SO. Even if it’s correct. A little more diplomatic statement would have been different, but since she’s his SO, she needs to even check her comments even more, unfair as that might sound.

That said, Fedor did get a few good rolls. It’s not like he didnt luck out a few times. But FSR got some incredible rolls the last several games, and seemed to out roll Fedor at least 2:1.

Freddie <~~~ not either’s SO

I really don’t see why that is a problem. Part of the reason she is invited into the commentators booth is because of who her significant other is. I’d much rather she say what she feels than spout out some corporate non speak!

FSR is on the doorstep of one of the greatest accomplishments in pool history, holding the World 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and 10-Ball titles all at the same time.

yup. you could see it at the start and even after several games. Kaci is super tight and FSR is as loose as can be. On a side note, my God do I hate jump cues in competition. Three outstanding safeties in one rack and three jump shot returns. Absolutely ruins the defensive aspect of the game. For you simpletons who say jumping isn't easy blah blah well it must be easier than kicking otherwise they wouldn't be pulling the short stick out in the first place there genius. Jump for offense but ban it for defense. just ruins the game.

That felt like a big rack for kaci to win, especially after the position error going from 5 to 6
