I'm looking to buy some more pool videos, but I don't want to throw away my cash.

I've been wanting to buy a few world 14.1 dvd's for the past few months, but have stuck with accu-stats since they have proven to be reliable.

So are they well produced? Worth the $30-40? Is Allprobilliards a reliable site?

Please let me know.

Yes they are worth it; it's well produced. Images are sharp and clear, and the quality is very good. There is also a lot of good 14.1 play in there.

are there loads of pool videos in bearshare? never tried using it because i always use torrents on getting movies :D

Definitely pm russ chewning and ask for some good filesharing programs to get straight pool videos. He has a huge collection online and usually you only need to ask to get him to upload one to you.

I can't do the whole filesharing thing as I still have dial up, it would take a week to download half a match.

I'd rather spend the money on dvd's and watch them on my big screen tv.

I'm a bit confused though, are you all saying to download them for free as they aren't worth the money?

why buy the cow when u can get the milk for free? russ is a nice guy and has a ton of videos and loves sharing them with fellow azers to save a buck or 2, but if u don't have a good connection he may just burn u a copy and sell u a bootleg, he's that nice of a guy, it will also help if u don't play above a shortstop level to bark at him in a PM to get some free coverage

why encourage the bootlegging of pool videos. People are always complaining that there isn't enough good pool available for viewing. it's things like this that are partly the reason for it.

Randy , they are just pulling his leg trying to get Russ going because Russ is always *****ing about people bootlegging videos. To the poster , buy the dvd's they are great.

14.1

If your going to buy 14.1 video and you want to learn to play the game be sure the player tells you what he or she is going to do and why,if your only looking to watch and enjoy then it does not matter.

Thanks for the responces, I am going to order some right now. I've been wanting to see Mika play 14.1 for quite sometime now, and I'm a fan of Thomas Engert, so I am quite looking forward to watching them.

I thought the finals match was good and Tony Robles gives some good insight into the game. I found his commentary to be a little too complimentary at times (like, saying "that's perfect" when, in fact, it was not perfect), but it's obvious that he knows the game very well and he does share a lot of information during the course of the match.

On a side note, it was this video that got me considering a Gabriels pool table. I now have the table sitting in my living room. Apparently having logo's shown on TV does pay off some times. :)

lol, thanks. I just ordered, DVD 2, 3 and 5. It will probably take a couple of weeks to get them, but I am already counting down the seconds.

No problem man, I understand.

World Pool dvds

I ordered all of them and didn't regret it. It was on these videos that I noticed how smooth Thomas Engert's game was. The videos with him on it are my favorites. Of course, you have to see Thorsten Hohmann play whenever you get the chance and that Schmidt kid is no slouch either.Alan Hopkins is a legend and Jasmine is on her way up and she shot very well. Would have liked to have seen some Ralf Souquet matches, but you can't have everything.
